Telstra A-Series Masters Events
After some long & extended negotiations with Athletics Australia they finally approved three 200 metre races for Masters as part of the pre meet entertainment. This is a welcome return to major competition for Masters at the big time meets after a lapse of some years. The depth of the masters men’s sprints in NSW is really quite evident as some of the fastest men in the land have already nominated to be part of the first ever M35+ sprint race at a Grand Prix. Ernie Leseberg who has not long turned 35 heads the all star cast along with other state & national champions in Sheldon Cummins & John Skrivanic......

2007 Landy Trophy
19 February
This event held Melbourne Victoria has a great history & runners from all over Australia are invited to compete. There are 64 entrants split into 8 heats for the 200m & then split again for a 1000m race. Points are allocated according to your place & the top 8 point scorers after the 2 races are then put in an A or B final to run over 400m.They seed to runners into each race with the balance of the heat drawn at random. The handicaps are based on 5 year age groups.

Once again the Police Games are inviting you to participate at the upcoming Police Games to be held at the Blacktown Olympic Complex. The whole atmosphere is very light and casual. Come and have an enjoyable weekend and maybe try competing in an(any) event that you normally don't do OR maybe try an event that you might've wanted to try. There's never any shortage of coaching available from friendly competitors...

The Sydney 2009 World Masters Games will give you the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Olympians, as many of the venues constructed for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be utilised. These include the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, Athletic Centre and Hockey Centre. Also in use will be the Dunc Gray Velodrome, Blacktown Olympic Park (softball and baseball) and the Sydney International Shooting Centre.
